Ali Ipinge joins Standard Bank Namibia

WINDHOEK; Standard Bank Namibia announced on Friday that it has appointed Ali Ipinge as its Head of Business Banking effective 01 March 2014.

Ipinge has nine years of banking experience.

This is according to a media statement issued by Standard Bank’s Manager for Public Relations and Corporate Communications, Surihe Gaomas-Guchu.

The statement said with a corporate, commercial and Small and Enterprise (SME) banking background, Ipinge brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in deal sourcing and acquisition, strong networks within the public and private sector as well as passion for service excellence.

Ipinge possesses a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the University of Namibia (Unam) and an MBA in Strategic Management from the Maastricht School of Management in The Netherlands).

His skills set is focused on finance, investments, project design and implementation and sales. Ipinge has served in various roles within the private, public and development sectors. These include programme manager and trade investment advisor at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Namibia, Head of SME Finance at First National Bank Namibia, corporate manager at Rand Merchant Bank SA, and Head of Public Sector Banking at FNB Namibia.
