Ba Pirates in Tura Derby On Sunday – Exciting League Action On the Cards

Going into round 6-7 of the MTC Premier League, the pick of this weekend’s action is doubtlessly the much anticipated Katutura derby between Orlando Pirates and reigning champions Black Africa at the Sam Nujoma Stadium in Katutura on Sunday.

Currently sitting top of the log with 13 points, BA has in recent outings gly demonstrated their hunger to win games and Pirates might be in for a big shock as the Katutura giants are also facing pressure to maintain momentum, a scenario that leaves coach Brian Isaacs with no choice but to gun for the three points at stake.

Another reason to anticipate a fierce encounter is the mere fact that any game between these two outfits never fail to impressive, as both teams play almost the similar trend of football although BA enjoys the upper hand in terms of player quality. Speaking at a recent media briefing in Windhoek, Bas’ Vice-Captain Willy Stephanus said they do not need any special motivation going into Sunday’s clash, because they have already prepared well.

“Playing against Pirates is already a big motivation for us the players. We will go in this game fighting because we need the three points. And if we need motivation, than that will only be for our Saturday game against Mighty Gunners,” said Stephanus.

Pirates’ coach Ali Khan said his team has not prepare well because of some problems that they have in their camp, but they will go into the field fighting with all they have. “Our team looks better on paper than Black Africa. Come Sunday, there will be a fight in the field for the three points.

We really need those points more than Black Africa and we will get them on Sunday,” said Akan as quoted by Nampa.
