Bank Windhoek Enduro Series Round 5

Round Five of the Bank Windhoek Namibia National Enduro Series will take place on Farm Abbabis in the Karibib district on Saturday, 12 July.

The last series to take place at this venue was in 2010 and 2011 and the race course was regarded by the quads and bike riders as exciting and full of surprises.

This Saturday will surely be the most competitive race to date, as part of the race will be on a route which was ridden three years ago. According to the organisers, the route has many new exciting sections, which will definitely ensure that the second half of the season will be kicking off on a high note as riders want to improve and maintain their point standings for the end of the year. Both the quad and bike routes have rocky, technical, fast and flowing parts with the routes being between 35 and 39 km long. The expected temperatures for the day will be about 10 Degrees Celsius.

For directions to the race venue, drive on the B2 in a westernly direction towards Karibib. In Karibib, pass the Engen Service Station on your left hand side and turn left at Henkert Tourist Centre and then right at the four-way stop. Turn left onto the C32 towards Naukluft Park. Follow the C32 (M77) for 15 km and turn right onto D1952 and follow the road for approximately 8 km to find the Pit area on the left side of the road.

This will be the second race that will be hosted under the new management of the Namibian Enduro Club, under the leadership of club chairman, Guumlnter Brettschneider.
