Chairpersons Elected for Retail Sector Charter Development

THE push to develop the Namibian retail sector charter took further steps to fruition this week when the Namibia Trade Forum (NTF) announced the appointment of three chairpersons to lead the three tasks teams.

The task teams were formed based on the goods classifications – fast moving consumer goods, clothing and apparels and building materials and hardware.

The chairmen are Henry Feris -fast moving consumer goods, representing Pick n Pay, Michael Humavindu – building materials and hardware, representing the Namibian Competition Commission and David Namalenga – clothing and apparels, representing Dinapama Manufacturing and Supplies.

The retail charter is in line with the Ministry of Trade and Industry’s “Growth at Home” strategy which strives to transform the national economy. The NTF is an agency of the ministry.
