Chinese nationals robbed at gunpoint in Dorado Park

Nine Chinese nationals were robbed at gunpoint by unknown suspects in the Dorado Park residential area in the capital on Sunday.

The robbery took place at about 04h00.

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) Spokesperson, Inspector Slogan Matheus told a media briefing here on Sunday that three suspects broke into the Chinese nationals’ makeshift bedrooms and robbed them of their valuables.

The victims are employed by a Chinese construction company, China Yianyxi, that is constructing residential flats at the International University of Management (IUM) in Dorado Park.

The suspects managed to get away with 10 mobile phones plus nine laptop computers valued at an estimated N.dollars 100 000.

All victims were unhurt.

None of the suspects have been arrested so far, and police investigations in the robbery continue.
