Decomposed body of a man found in bushes between Wanaheda and Greenwell Matongo residential areas

WINDHOEK: The decomposed body of a 28-year-old man was found on Thursday in the bushes between the Wanaheda and Greenwell Matongo residential areas in Windhoek.

The remains were identified as those of Joseph Mevava Kamulu, who was reported missing more than a month ago.

The Namibian Police Force Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi told the media today that the late Kamulu was reported missing on 27 February this year by his family.

A passer-by found the body hidden deep in the bush.

Kanguatjivi said further investigations found his clothes – a black jean trouser and a red T-shirt, black tekkies – and a black wallet containing his Namibian identification card, two bob (ATM) cards, voter registration card, drivers’ licence, as well as N.dollars 80 cash and a Nokia cell phone.

He said foul play is suspected, and a murder case has been opened.
