Designers Show Shapes and Styles

WINDHOEK-Namibian designer, Lafika Joyce Heita, of LaFigure Designs, is hosting the Aesthetic Fusion fashion show at Street Cuisine in the Sanlam Building Courtyard opposite Zoo Park tomorrow.

The fashion show features local designers LaFigure, Retrograde Avenue and Genene. Lafika says her brand’s primarily focuses on women and men’s wear. “My brand is known for its unconventional prints and shape that help emphasise the figure, inspired by everything and has no boundaries,” she says.

“On this fashion show, we seek to improve our community through positive lifestyle change and aims to achieve this by bringing together young and creative individuals to work on this innovation project that address social problems,” she adds.

Retrograde Avenue Designs, that will also showcase their brands on the night, is a fashion concept and charity aimed at inspiring and generating positive change by helping those less fortunate to fight discrimination and disunity, as well as create a platform for success for young and talented individuals. It was established to address social ills by donating proceeds to specific causes within the three streams of education, health and poverty.

Genene Designs is a brand that designs unique shapes and styles. The designs reflect the personality for fashion lovers to feel gorgeous whenever they are wearing it. On the night, Lafika says, visual artist, Krayzeesue, will be entertaining guests with body painting. Dj Adriano from Radio Energy will be the MC. The show starts at six O’clock (18h00). Ticket goes for N$ 150 each, and N$250 for VIPs and are available from Street Cuisine.
