Dumeni Appointed Team Namibia CEO

Team Namibia has appointed Daisry Dumeni as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective 1 July this year.

Dumeni replaces Lizette Foot, who has been appointed as the Manager of Marketing and Innovation at Namibia Breweries Limited (NBL).

“I am ready to take Team Namibia to the next level. I see myself as a coordinator and an implementer as the strategy has been set and groundwork has been done,” Dumeni told Nampa.

She noted that Team Namibia has a unique mandate that involves consumers, producers and the business community to help accelerate economic growth, reduce income inequality and increase employment in the country.

Dumeni encouraged small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to join Team Namibia so they can have access to the online portal that provides information for Namibian SMEs to increase their competitiveness.

“I would like SMEs to see Team Namibia as partner in facilitating access to the consumer market and set competitive standards to inspire consumers to buy local products,” she said.

Dumeni worked as the Manager of Marketing and Public Relations at the Namibia Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NCCI) before her appointment as Team Namibia CEO.

Team Namibia was founded in 2003 and is aimed at mobilising Namibian consumers to buy local, as well as driving the promotion of the production of quality local products and services.
