Enduro Goes to U.S

The fourth round of the Bank Windhoek Namibia National Enduro Series takes place this Saturday, 7 June in Uis.

After a six-week break of the Enduro Series, all riders should be fit and ready for the fourth round with the weather having changed dramatically during the six-week break. The cold weather will surely bring some challenges to the riders.

“The Uis race is one of the much anticipated races in the series and it will be interesting to see how all the riders have prepared themselves for the second half of the season, especially after having seen the world class talent of Wade Young at the Red Bull Braveman race event on 25 to 26 April,” said Andreas Brendel, Chairman of the Namibia Enduro Club.

Uis played host to last year’s AMU Baja Southern African Championships where Namibia came first ahead of South Africa and Zambia.

This year, riders can expect exciting new changes to the race course for both bikes and quads, which will be run in reverse to last year. The course is around 30km for both quads and bikes.

The Uis race course is known to be full of fun, because of its mixture of technical and fast riding sections which pass through quarries and up on the soft white dunes that are found in Uis. Spectators can therefore expect a lot of action and viewing pleasure, as the pits are on an elevated plateau overlooking a large section of the race course.
