Fierce Battle Expected in Naidjala v Buthelezi Fight

According to Namibia’s boxing promoter Nestor Tobias, everything around the organisation of the December 6 ‘Champions in Action Part-3’ Boxing Bonanza is moving smoothly and local fans can expect a bumper-boxing fiesta.

Slated for the Windhoek Country Club, the boxing jamboree will feature no less than four international titles bouts and one national title fight.

In the main bout of the evening, Immanuel ‘Prince’ Naidjala will defend his World Boxing Organisation (WBO) African Bantamweight crown over 12 rounds against former world champion Gideon Buthelezi from South Africa.

“This will be one of Prince’s toughest fights and a win will take him to the top and challenge for the world title again. Buthelezi can spoil Prince’s dreams as he is a slick and experienced boxer and he can switch from southpaw to orthodox to confuse his opponents but that will not confuse ‘Prince’ as he has been training very hard and sparing against different boxers with different styles,” said Tobias.

“We are inviting the boxing fans and the Namibian nation to come in big numbers to support the ‘Prince’ and witness the great talent we have in Namibia.”

Meanwhile, Julius ‘Blue Machine’ Indongo will feature in the main supporting bout when he defends his WBO Africa Junior Welterweight title against the highly experience and powerful Kaizer Mabuza also from South Africa.

” Blue Machine is a quick starter and he works on a high rate in all the rounds and this will be very hard for Mabuza to handle. A win for ‘Blue Machine’ will be good for his profile and will take him in the world rating. The other bout on the card the fans should not miss is the WBO Africa Flyweight fight between Abmerk Shindjuu and former commonwealth champion Jafet Uutoni over 12 rounds.”

Another exciting International title bout will be between the current WBO Africa Lightweight champion, Samuel Kapapu and former champion Martin Haikali also over 12 rounds. “We are also going to have more mouth-watering undercards to support the main attractions,” adds Tobias.

The tickets are going for N$200.00 for general tickets and N$10 000.00 for a table seating 10 people with refreshments and snacks. Tickets are available at the Namibian Boxing Control Board, The Sunshine Boxing Academy and at Computicket outlets at all Shoprite and Checkers stores countrywide.
