FIFA Referee Instructor says said there is positive development in refereeing in Namibia

WINDHOEK: International Federation of Football Associations (FIFA) Referee Instructor Felix Tangawarima said there is positive development in refereeing in Namibia.

Tangawarima, who is responsible for FIFA’s Southern and Eastern African regions’ referees and instructors training, told Nampa on Tuesday that there is great improvement with referees in the country although there is still room for improvement.

He said people always complain about referees making mistakes on the field, but referees always try their level best whenever they step on the football pitch.

Tangawarima said it is their hope that after the training, refereeing in the country and the continent will improve greatly.

The training is hosted by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) Referees Department.

The high-level annual FIFA Member Association match officials’ course is taking place at the NFA Technical Centre in Windhoek with 35 match officials in attendance.

The course started on Tuesday and will end tomorrow.
