Fistball Action Continues

Fistball action will continue in the Bank Windhoek National Fistball Championship this Saturday, 7 June 2014. The third round of games of the National A league and the National B league will be hosted at the SKW sport grounds in Windhoek as from 8h30.

Cohen FC 1 has the opportunity to jump to the top of the log in the Bank Windhoek National A league.

They will play defending champions and current log leaders SKW 1 in the first game of the day in what promises to be an exciting match-up.

The U18 national team stalwarts Tristan Minz in attack and Andre Schmidt-Dumont will be in action for Cohen FC 1. The U18 players only recently returned from a tour to Brazil where they successfully participated in the U18 Fistball World Cup.

SKW 1 can rely on their evergreen spiker, Michael Baas who has led the team to two cup wins in the current season.

Third placed SKW 2 is also eying the top spot on the log. They are level on points with Cohen FC 1 and will also be playing SKW 1. Should they win that game they will improve their position on the log.

The defending champions of the Bank Windhoek National B league, Cohen FC 3, will focus on continuing their unbeaten run. The team has not lost a league outing for the past two seasons.

Their toughest game of the day will be against third-placed SFC 2. The Swakopmund team consists mainly of U18 players and has shown a vast improvement since the start of the season in February and much can be expected of them.

DTS who are second on the log will also be in action. The club has managed to integrate a couple of talented and eager players into the team after a disappointing end to last year’s league campaign. This new approach by the club’s officials has made DTS a formidable outfit. They will be facing SFC 2 and SKW 3.

The day’s games are scheduled to end at 17h00 after which a prize giving ceremony will be held where the DANRIC Auto player of the day will be chosen.
