Good rains recorded over northern part of Namibia

WINDHOEK: Good rains have been recorded over the northern part of Namibia yesterday.

The Chief Meteorogical Technician and Forecasting at the Namibia Meteorological Services, Odillo Kgobetsi made this revelation in an Interview with Nampa here today.

Kgobetsi said Grootfontein town in Otjozondjupa region recorded the highest rainfall 6.4 mm of rain measured there.

This was followed by Oshikango, 4.6mm; Eenhana, 3.0mm; Oshakati, 3.8 mm; Ondangwa,1.0mm; Outapi, 0.8mm; Okahao, 0.6mm; Tsumeb, 0.3mm and Rundu, 0.2mm.

Kgobetsi said synoptic conditions further predicts good rains for the central northern Namibia as from Sunday, which are expected to last until Tuesday next week.
