Gunners Wary of Rebels in Premier League Playoffs

With the MTC Namibia Premier League (NPL) promotionalrelegation playoffs set for Tsumeb this weekend, Mighty Gunners have promised to leave no stone unturned when they confront Windhoek-based Rebels as both teams look to book a place in the elite league come next season.

The Namibia Football Association (NFA) will facilitate the playoffs involving the three clubs that finished second in the three first divisions and the team placed 11th on the MTC Premiership 201314 log standings.

This means that Mighty Gunners (North West First Division), Benfica (North East First Division) and Rebels (Southern Stream First Division) join Rundu Chiefs at the Oscar Norich Stadium in Tsumeb this weekend to determine which three of the four teams will secure their spots in the NPL 201415 season, which will now consist of 16 clubs instead of the traditional 12.
