Ingo thanks sponsors for making dream come true

WINDHOEK: Namibian endurance motorcycle rider Ingo Waldschmidt has expressed gratitude towards local companies for their support to fulfill his dream.

He recently ended third in the 6337-kilometre Africa Eco Race on his first try, describing it as a dream come true.

The race started on 06 January in Morocco, traveled to Mauritania and ended in Senegal over 12 stages on 11 January.

The overall winner was Pål Anders Ullevålseter of Norway, followed by Robert Theuretzbacher of Austria.

Waldschmidt is the only Namibian who participated in 2015 Africa Eco Rally, which was initiated some five years ago.

The rider told Nampa yesterday that ending third in the Africa Eco Race was a dream fullfilled, and he is proud of what he achieved.
