Klein Windhoek Squash Club Dominates Wanderers Open

Klein Windhoek Squash Club dominated the Nashua Wanderers Open which was held at the Wanderers Squash Club last weekend.

Arriving in big numbers and support, KWSC was represented well in all divisions and success was inevitable. All three Men’s division’s finals were part of the success story of the club.

About a year ago the club faced bankruptcy but with hard work and a very dynamic and young committee the club is back on its feet and prospering. Among the 64 players of the Wanderers Open 21 were Klein Windhoek Squash Club members in the A, B, C and women’s sections.

All three the men’s categories were won by KWSC members. Norbert Doumlrgeloh took the Men’s A division against Cliffy de Witt from Buccaneers 3-1, Bjarne Graupe took the B Division 3-2 against Phillip van Schalkwyk from Wanderers and the all-KWSC final in the C division was won by Bjoumlrn Magg against Roland Ludwig 3-0.

The women’s division was won by Carin Pretorius 3-0 against Adri Lambert, with both being Wanderers members, while another Klein Windhoek member Nancy Fernandes came third.

With the Klein Windhoek Closed tournament sponsored by Bandit’s Gambling due to take place on 20-22 June at KWSC’s courts, fantastic squash will once again be displayed and spectators are welcome to join and enjoy the day at the club.
