Managing Director Old Mutual’s Africa Operations calls on private sector businesses to partner with Namibian Government

KEETMANSHOOP: The Managing Director of Old Mutual’s Africa Operations has called on private sector businesses to partner with the Namibian Government to help achieve infrastructural development in order to grow the country’s economy.

Johannes !Gawaxab made this call at the official inauguration of a modern shopping mall constructed by Old Mutual Namibia at the southern town of Keetmanshoop in the //Karas Region yesterday.

!Gawaxab said Old Mutual Namibia will continue to make investments which will stimulate economic growth and create the much-needed employment opportunities, thereby providing an income to many young Namibians in the form of wages and salaries.

He added that it is in the same manner that his company is now calling on other private businesses to help meet the government halfway by investing in the development of infrastructure.

The new mall is more than just a contribution to the industrial and commercial development of Namibia, as it is also his company’s contribution to the health, comfort and better quality of life for Namibians who live in the southern parts of the country.

!Gawaxab then applauded the Namibian Head of State, President Hifikepunye Pohamba, for agreeing to come and officiate at the inauguration of the mall.
