Ministry of Defense holds exhibition for MPs to understand how budget allocation will be utilized

WINDHOEK: The Ministry of Defence held a mini exhibition for Members of Parliament yesterday to help them understand how the budget allocation to the ministry will be utilised.

Speaking during the opening of the one-day exhibition in the National Assembly courtyard yesterday, the Namibian Defence Force (NDF)’s Senior Staff Officer of Joint Operations, Colonel Leornard Nghiishongele said the purpose of the exhibition is to enlighten the Members of Parliament (MPs) on what the appropriated amount is budgeted for.

NDF uniforms, computers, guns and other military equipment formed part of the display.

Nghiishongele said the mission of the NDF is to defend the territorial integrity of Namibia and protect the people, their property and national interests.

Nghiishongele explained that the NDF is made up of three services – the Ground Force (Army), the Air Force and the Navy.
