More rain still coming Namibia’s way

More rain is predicted for Namibia in the next few days, according to the Namibia Meteorological Services.

The showers are however expected to clear later on, as clear skies fill most part of Namibia.

The Chief Metrological Technician and Forecasting at the Namibia Meteorological Services, Odillo Kgobetsi told Nampa on Tuesday upon enquiry that some parts of Namibia are still expected to receive good rains.

He said the northern part of Namibia is still expected to get good rains and that the only part that should fear a shift from cloud cover to clear skies is the southern part, even though high rainfall figures have been recorded there so far.

“As from the 16th of January clear skies should be expected in the southern part of the country as well as the central high grounds, but the northern part will still receive good rains,” he said.

He said that Karasburg, Oshikango and Outapi recorded the highest rainfall figures on Monday, with 21.1mm, 17.0mm and 12.4 respectively.
