MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy expresses confidence ahead of their boxer Vikapita ‘Beastmaster’ Meroro’s fight in Moscow

WINDHOEK: The MTC Nestor Sunshine Boxing and Fitness Academy has expressed confidence ahead of their boxer Vikapita ‘Beastmaster’ Meroro’s fight in Moscow, Russia.

He will challenge current World Boxing Association (WBA) International Cruiserweight Champion Dmitry Kudryashov on 22 May for the belt.

A media statement issued by the academy yesterday stated that Meroro will be representing Namibia when he steps into the ring in Russia, and will thus not just represent the MTC Sunshine Academy.

The academy’s chairperson Nestor Tobias thus called on all Namibians to support Meroro.

He said Meroro’s record speaks for itself, and nobody has to speak on his behalf.

He added that in boxing one does not get an invitation to fight a champion at that level if he is not recognized in the world, noting that Meroro has done well for himself and for Namibia.
