N.dollars 25m tourism centers currently under construction expected to attract local, foreign visitors, says councilor

GIBEON: The N.dollars 25 million tourism centres currently under construction here is expected to attract local and foreign visitors to the village, says Gibeon Constituency councilor Jeremias Gregory van Neel.

The centre is being constructed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry with assistance of the Namibia Development Corporation (NDC).

The NDC promotes, develops and support all sectors of the Namibian economy for sustained economic growth and the economic empowerment of its people in conformity with the development strategies and policies of the Government of Namibia.

Construction started last year, and is expected to end in October 2015. The centre will comprise of overnight facilities, a laundry and kiosk. The Gibeon Village Council management will not prescribe what will be sold in the kiosk as it will depend on the person renting it.

The councilor told Nampa on Friday that he is pleased with the smooth running of development in his village.
