Namibia continue to shine in World Cricket League

WINDHOEK: The Namibian national cricket team continue to shine at the Pepsi International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cricket League (WCL) Division 2 tournament underway here.

Namibia won by 188 runs against the Netherlands yesterday, making it three wins thus far in the competition which started on Saturday.

Namibia beat Kenya in their first clash by five wickets with 64 balls remaining, and defeated Ghana by four wickets with 22 balls remaining on Sunday.

Speaking to Nampa after the match, Namibian captain Nicolas Scholtz said their plan of winning the game worked in their favour.

Namibia managed to record 314 runs in their 50 overs with nine wickets, while the Netherlands could only score 126 runs in 28 overs losing all their wickets.
