Namibian police starts inquiry in Amukoshi’s suicide case

ONGWEDIVA: The Namibian Police in the Oshikoto Region have opened an inquest docket after receiving reports that a 30-year-old man allegedly committed suicide last Friday.

Deputy regional commander of the Namibian Police Force (NamPol) in the region, Deputy Commissioner William Peter told Nampa yesterday Jonas Amukoshi allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope in his bedroom at around 06h00 on Friday morning.

The incident took place at Iindongo yaKelu village in the Omuthiya area.

It was not immediately known why Amukoshi decided to take his own life.

His next of kin have been informed of his death.
