National Enduro Series Round Four

Forty eight riders took part in the fourth round of the Bank Windhoek Namibia National Enduro Series which took place on Saturday, 7 June, in Uis.

Saturday morning greeted the 48 entrants with blue skies and cold winds.

The race got off to a shaky start. Most of the riders got lost on the first lap due to a number of reasons ranging from marshals that pointed riders in the wrong direction and bunting being blown away by the wind.

Therefore, the race was stopped after the first lap so that the race organisers could rectify these problems. With a ninety minute break, riders knew parts of the track and used the time to rehydrate and to warm themselves up.

At twelve thirty, the race set off again and the National classes had to complete three laps while the rest of the participants had to complete two laps. The race event was ended in a good mood with no major injuries.

With four races successfully completed in the 2014 National Series, the competition is heating up with the next race scheduled for 12 July on Farm Abbabis in the Karibib District.
