National support needed if Baby Warriors to progress to next round of 2015 CAF Under-17 Championships’ qualifiers

WINDHOEK: National support is needed if the Baby Warriors are to progress to the next round of the 2015 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Under-17 Championships’ qualifiers, as they take on Mozambique tomorrow.

The Under-17 football team travelled to Mozambique last week, and took on their counterparts in Maputo for the qualifiers of the 2015 CAF African Under-17 Championships, which will be hosted in Niger.

They drew one-all there.

A statement availed to Nampa by the Namibia Football Association (NFA) yesterday quotes Under-17 team captain Sylvanus Endjala as saying national support is needed for them to progress.

He said in Mozambique, they packed the stadium, and still they came through,, but now they need their people to believe in them, and show them the support to push them through and ultimately win this tie.

The team is injury-free, and raring to go.
