Ondangwa Mayor says his town has much to offer in terms of investment opportunities to facilitate business growth

ONDANGWA: Ondangwa Mayor, Leonard Negonga, says his town has much to offer in terms of investment opportunities to facilitate business growth.

He said this on Friday during the 2015 Ondangwa Trade and Industrial Exhibition (OTIE), which was attended by King Immanuel Kauluma Elifas of the Ondonga Traditional Authority (OTA) among others.

Negonga told those present that the OTIE is very important to Ondagwa as it provides the platform for the business fraternity to communicate with the outside world.

According to the mayor, when businesspeople invest in towns, it leads to the creation of job opportunities, which is a step towards poverty eradication.

The fourth edition of the nine-day event commenced last Friday.

Two hundred exhibitors, including one from Zimbabwe and South Africa each, participated in the OTIE this year.

Last year saw 218 exhibitors.
