Ongwediva Town Council supports ICT advancement

OKAANDJE: The Ongwediva Town Council yesterday donated a computer and a printer to the Ounonge Primary School (PS) situated at the Okahandja village on the outskirts of that town.

The school was founded in 1983 by retired principal Victoria Shimakeleni-Mhani.

Ismael Nenkavu is the current principal of the school for the past seven years.

The computer and printer will benefit the school’s 179 learners from pre-primary to Grade Seven and their 10 teachers.

Ongwediva Mayor Jason Asino officially handed over the computer and printer to Nenkavu at the school.

He noted that his town requires professionals, hence his council’s decision to donate the said information and communication technology (ICT) equipment to the Ounonge PS as its contribution towards the training and development of professionals.
