Police Request Public’s Help

The Namibian Police through the office of the Head of the Public Relations Division, Deputy Commissioner Edwin Kanguatjivi, have requested the public’s help with the tracing of a few people. The Commercial Crime Investigation Division is urgently looking for anyone with information that might lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of a suspect only known as “Amutse”. He is wanted in connection with fraud that took place in January 2014.

Amutse is Oshiwambo-speaking, well built and fair in complexion with short-cropped hair. He is believed to be a resident of the Single Quarters near Oluzizi Bar.

He was employed as a casual handyman at Oluzizi Bar and usually drives a delivery truck or a Quantum. He allegedly hangs around Oluzizi Bar, Pelican Bar and other entertainment areas in Windhoek.

Efforts by the police to trace him have proved fruitless and the police have assured that information given would be handled with the utmost confidentiality. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Amutse is requested to contact Commissioner Endjala at 081 1277840 or Detective Inspector Simunja on 081 1287560 or 061 2095318 or Detective Sergeant Mundia at 081 2775875, or the nearest police station.

The police are also asking the public’s help in tracing the following witnesses. Nathan Campbell was a resident of Erf 582, Block B, Rehoboth Gavan Vries was a resident of Erf 23, Tjikati Street, Damara Location, Windhoek and Petrus Tsareb who lived at Erf 3565, Isak Kasikar Street, Damara Location, Windhoek.

They are needed to testify in the Windhoek magistrates’ court in a case of assault with intent to cause grievious bodily harm that took place in September 2011. They are due in court on May 01, 2014.

Police are also looking for Amon Shikongo who resided at Erf 7525, Monte Christo Road, Windhoek or Onagama village in the Ohangwena Region. He is needed to testify in a case of reckless or negligent driving.

The incident occurred in August 2009 and Shikongo was due in court on March 31, 2014.

Lazarus Nuwuseb who was resident at Erf 7793, Success Street in Katutura is wanted in connection with a case of common assault, which took place in August 2011.

Remer Keneth Neibeb is wanted in connection with a case of common assault that occurred in August, 2011. He used to reside at Goreangab informal settlement, Windhoek or Tsara-Eibes B70 in Otjiwarongo.

Anyone with information on the above mentioned persons or they themselves is requested to contact Detective Warrant-Officer Shikongo on 081 2735998 or 061 2094428.

The Windhoek police mortuary is urgently looking for the family and relatives of the late Ronald Lameck Vaendwabawa to come forward, identify and claim his body. Vaendwabawa was found dead on March 10 2014 in a bushy area near Hosea Kutako Road, Pioneers Park, Windhoek. He was born in the Zambezi Region and was a resident of Erf 22, Ovambo 1123 in Katutura.
