President Geingob off to Cape Town

WINDHOEK: President Hage Geingob left this morning for Cape Town, South Africa for a one-day working visit.

This is the second working visit he undertook since he was sworn in as the President of Namibia in March this year, following his first trip to Angola last month.

He is paying courtesy calls on neighbouring countries to introduce himself to Heads of State, seek advice and discuss issues of common interest.

Geingob is accompanied by First Lady Monica Geingos and Deputy Minister in the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperations, Peya Mushelenga.

President Geingob and his delegation are expected to return home on Thursday.

Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of International Relations and Cooperation, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah were at the Airport to see him off.
