Rains predicted for northern and central parts

WINDHOEK: The Namibia Meteorological Services have predicted good rains for the Namibian northern and central parts of the country.

The Chief Meteorological Technician and Forecasting at the Namibia Meteorological Services, Odillo Kgobetsi told Nampa on Monday that good rain should be expected as from tomorrow until Friday.

He said that light storms can be expected as well and that the rain will show some consistency.

“Light storms can also be expected and areas in Hardap region will receive rain in the course of the next few days, especially on Friday,” he said.

He added that according to their rainfall statistics it was raining in the northern parts of the country especially in the Zambezi, Ohangwena, Oshana and Oskikoto regions.

Namibia is yet to receive favourable rain during the current rainy season which is already in its second half.
