RC Church mission in Namibia ordains new young missionary sisters of MSC

OTJIWARONGO: The Roman Catholic (RC) Church mission in Namibia ordained new young missionary sisters of the “Most Sacred Heart of Jesus (MSC)” at Otjiwarongo in the country’s Otjozondjupa Region on Monday.

Family members who travelled from their respective regions to attend the ordination, packed the RC Church build at Otjiwarongo’s Orwetoveni Township, witnessing the first vows-making of new MSC sisters as from 09h 00 to midday.

The new sisters or nuns as they are also known, are Hilaria Hangula, Daria Iikuyu, Johanna Akundungila, Mechtilde Tomas, Lydia Jeverinus and Agatha Uurumbu.

Kanana noted that the RC Church leadership is proud to see more young women joining the church’s social responsibility through the congregation of the Missionary Sisters of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.

A number of sisters, student sisters and family members of the ordained sisters held a joyful celebration at St. Anthony RC Church Centre as from Sunday evening until early hours on Monday, preceding the ordination.
