RDPYL appoints new secretary for Ohangwena Region

OHANGWENA: The Rally for Democracy and Progress Youth League (RDPYL) in the Ohangwena Region has elected Daniel Ndambo as its secretary for the region.

The RDP’s secretary for the Ohangwena Region, Timo Shikongo, told Nampa recently Ndambo was elected during the RDPYL extraordinary regional conference held at Eenhana in the region last Saturday.

The regional conference was called to elect the leader of the youth in Ohangwena after the former regional leader, Hidipo Hamata, resigned earlier this year.

Hamata has in the meantime joined the DTA of Namibia, which elected him about a fortnight ago to be the party’s coordinator in the Ohangwena Region.

Ndambo is deputised by Kristofina Haitembu.

According to Shikongo, Job Kambode Hamutenya (Information) and Johannes Kamati were also elected as new members of the RDPYL leadership in the Ohangwena Region after those who served in those two portfolios moved to other regions.
