’Recovery a Miracle From God’ – Kamuhanga

Following a layoff of close to six months as a result of a fractured ankle, African Stars and Brave Warriors enterprising winger Eslin ‘Lovers’ Kamuhanga is on the mend and could soon be back in action after undergoing a successful operation on his splintered left ankle.

New Era Sports took some time out to visit the diminutive winger to check on how he is progressing and how soon the Reds faithful can expect to see him back on the field. Kamuhanga flashed back to the dark days he went through during the course of his injury, describing his rehabilitation as a miracle from god.

He picked up the career-threatening injury on his trusted left ankle in Stars’ 4-0 win over Rundu Chiefs in a MTC NPL Premiership clash in Rundu earlier this year, having joined briefly from archrivals Black Africa at the start of the current campaign. His operation is understood to have set Stars back N$20 000 in medical costs.

“Naturally I’ve always been injury free and was able to avoid injuries at all costs, which means it was a very difficult period for me since it was the first time I suffered such an injury. ”

Kamuhanga says he hopes to recover sufficiently to help his club win silverware next season while he also craves reclaiming his place in the national team.

“I really owe Stars a lot, the club had been very supportive during my injury. I will work hard to repay the trust they put in me.”

In conclusion, the soft-spoken winger said: “To me, it’s not about how you fall but it’s about how g you get back on your feet. That’s why I want to use this opportunity to thank god for taking care of me through these bad times and to my club and all our supporters, thank you very much for believing in my talent and having faith in me. It really means a lot.”
