Regus Launches First Business Centre

The centre is situated at Maerua Mall in Windhoek.

“Its presence at the well-known retail mall and commercial hub will provide a boost to local companies and help attract foreign investors to Namibia,” said Nuno Condinho, Southern Africa Manager of Regus during the launch last week.

The launch in Windhoek brings the workplace provider’s Africa network to 18 markets and 102 countries globally.

Prices for using the facility range from ‘business world’ memberships, starting from N$499 per month, ‘day offices’ starting from N$450 per day, ‘meeting and boardroom’ prices N$350 per hour and ‘one person’ offices ranging from N$4 046 per month.

Condinho said as well as using the flexible workplace to grow their business at home, entrepreneurs can use the wider network to expand into other countries in sub-Saharan Africa, a region expected to deliver GDP growth of 6% in 2014.

The centre also offers offices, co-working spaces and meeting rooms.

“With no long term fixed rents or upfront capital investment required for the ready-to-use workplaces, it’s a more affordable way to operate than conventional fixed offices. The international standard offering enables local businesses to project an ambitious and professional image,” said Condinho.

He said the arrival of Regus in Windhoek will make it easier for international companies to explore the options in Namibia.

Condinho said Regus workplaces include ready made professional infrastructure, saving them from the chore of having to find, equip and manage their own office premises.

The Windhoek launch follows the recent launch in Botswana. “Our investment in these countries will help both local and international companies benefit from trends such as infrastructure and telecoms development, FDI and growing local entrepreneurship. The economic potential of Africa is vast and exciting, and Regus is gly committed to facilitating business here,” said Condinho.

Other facilities at the Regus business centre include private and day offices, meeting rooms, walk in business lounge, virtual office services, and professional administration and reception support and wifi.

Companies like Google, Toshiba and GlaxoSmithKline make use of Regus. Founded in Brussels, Belgium, in 1989, Regus is based in Luxembourg and listed on the London Stock Exchange.
