Rossmund Gain Valuable Points

THE women’s and mixed teams of the Rossmund Bowling Club (RBC) gained valuable over the weekend when they defeated Tsumeb Bowling Club (TBC) in the Namibian Bowls League.

Their men’s team, however, lost against their rivals from the north and are now slowly but surely losing sight of the top the log.

In one of only three games over the weekend, the RBC women’s side had a day to remember as they thrashed their hapless opponents 30-10.

The win saw the club from the coast move into third place on the log, just four points adrift of leaders TransNamib Bowling Club (TNBC).

In the mixed division, the Rossmund players were made to work hard for their victory, before they emerged 16-15 victors.

Like their female club compatriots, the mixed team also climbed to third place in the standings, and are now just two points behind log-leaders Eros Bowling Club (EBC).

In other action, the Rossmund men’s team crashed to a 19-13 defeat against the TBC. It was a bitter loss, leaving them eight points off the top.
