Schools Invited to Enter Eco Tourism Song Competition

Old Mutual will host a Namjam Schools for Good Event, at the Namibian Tourism Expo and Motor show on June 13.

According to Nasilowski Zelda, high schools across Windhoek are invited to enter a contemporary band comprising of their school learners to represent their school and prepare an original eco-friendly song to fit in with the Namibian Tourism Expo theme “Embracing Eco Tourism”. He says the public will vote for the best songs through public online vote and the top three bands will compete in a Namjam band that will be held at the Expo, performing in front of a panel of judges and their supporters. The winning school band will be announced on the same day.

The prize monies include cash prizes for the band itself, the school and to an environmental charity of the band’s choice. All high schools in Windhoek have already received application forms. The entries close on May 29th , and voting is open to all, on the ‘OldMutual Namibia’ Facebook page from June 1- 7. For more enquiries contact znasilowski@oldmutual.com
