Shotgun’s Single Drops On YouTube

A video to accompany Namibian multi-genre singer, Tulonga Fillemon, aka Shotgun, latest single, Follow your Dream, is due for release on You Tube today.

Shotgun last month released his new single featuring Exit as a foretaste of his upcoming album.He says he preffered Exit to feature on this song so that he can give it a different Kwaito taste as Exit is one of the top Kwaito acts in Namibia. The song is produced by Arrafat at 777 Studio. “The song is complimented by a music video which will be released next week Friday on You Tube and local televisions. Basement Films shot and directed the video,” says Shotgun.

He says in the song he tries to encourage people to follow their dreams in whatever situation they are in. The song is currently in the top ten Kwaito chart on Energy 100 FM falling to number two last week. Shotgun started his music career in the 2004 a member of Oluwano Music Organization (OMO) from the Kharas region. “In 2007, I released my first album entitled Chidolodolo Mokacie and in 2010 I released my second album titled 0505 Birth and Death, with an array of hit songs such as Aanhu, Fikama, Summer Song and Maria Teresa where I was featured by the 4times4 too Much Power,” he says.

Last year he dropped his third album, Epokolo, which means palm tree branch, under his label Eeshela Production. The Epokolo album was sponsored by Forever Electrical amp Construction and was 70% recorded with a live bands notably the Ndilimani Cultural Troupe and 4times4 Too Much Power. “Through the journey of my music career, I have performed all around Namibia and I backed stage with big Namibian artists such as Tate Buti, Gazza, Mandoza, The Dogg and many others. Last year I performed at big events of Castle Lager road shows, independence celebrations, Heroes Day celebrations, Dr Sam Nuujoma birth day and 12 May movement celebrations and at City of Windhoek New Year celebration.”

He adds that his music is more educative besides entertaining the world.
