South American boxers here to fight Namibians

WINDHOEK; Brazilian boxer Josenilson dos Santos, who is challenging Namibia’s Paulus “The Hitman” Moses for the World Boxing Organisation (WBO) International lightweight belt, says he is here to win.

Dos Santos was speaking during a media briefing here on Tuesday.

The two will exchange blows in the main bout during the “Final Punch to the World Title” boxing bonanza organised by the MTC Nestor Sunshine Academy at the Katutura Independence Arena on 04 October this year.

Dos Santos, who was speaking through an interpreter, said he had trained well and is fit to win the international title on Saturday.

Also speaking during the briefing, Dario Pucheta from Argentina said he had prepared well for his fight against Namibia’s Bethuel ‘Tyson’ Ushona for the WBO welterweight belt.

Pucheta said that he is very fit as he fought just two months ago.

Another Argentinian boxer, Walter David Cabral, said he is ready for Namibia’s Vikapita “Beast Master” Meroro for the International Cruiserweight title.
