Standard Bank Namibia’s inaugurates its renovated branch at Outjo

OUTJO: Standard Bank Namibia’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Junius Mungunda yesterday officially inaugurated the bank’s renovated branch at Outjo in the Kunene Region.

Mungunda said as Outjo continues to experience a population boom it makes it necessary for Standard Bank to also revamp its branch here.

He said it is a fact that Outjo is the gateway for tourists to the Etosha National Park, Skeleton Coast, north-western towns and Kaokoveld, making it relevant for Standard Bank to improve and renovate its facilities in order to match the needs of the public.

The CEO explained that his bank is eager to serve the increasing business activities in and around Outjo, most importantly the businesses in livestock farming, charcoal production and game hunting taking place in the Outjo Constituency.

On her part, the Kunene Regional Governor, Angelika Muharukua said it was a good initiative of Standard Bank to renovate the branch.

She said the renovations must however match the efficiency and effectiveness of the banking services rendered to clients.
