Ster Kinekor Reopens Today

After a draining reconstruction spanning months, Ster Kinekor’s branch in Maerua Mall is finally opening its doors today. Staff were already on site before the opening, overseeing last minute changes.

Movie-goers can look forward to box office hits such as ‘Penguins of Madagascar’, ‘Leading Lady’, and ‘The Hobbit: Battle of the Five Armies’.

“At Ster-Kinekor Theatres, it is important that we continually meet our audiences’ expectations in ensuring they experience ‘Great Moments at their Greatest’ with each cinema visit,” Fiaz Mahomed, CEO of Ster-Kinekor Theatres said in a statement.

“With this philosophy in mind, we temporarily closed our complex at Maerua Mall as a result of various issues we were experiencing at this franchised site.”

The cinema complex has gone through various changes such as an upgrade to its digital technology. As of today, Ster Kinekor will offer crystal clear imagery and high quality sound speaker systems. Also, 3D-ready screens will be available, making it possible for viewers to experience the latest films in a larger-than-life format.

No more excruciating long waits for the latest blockbusters. In other words, as soon as the movies are released internationally, Ster Kinekor will be able to snatch them up and entertain local viewers.

“It is our promise to our customers in Namibia that they too can now ‘see it best’ and ‘see it first’ on Ster-Kinekor’s big digital screens,” Mohamed concluded.

Tonight, viewers can enjoy a special pre-release screening of the film ‘John Wick’ starring Keanu Reeves on all screens at 20h00.

Tomorrow, some of the films you can expect to see are ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’, ‘Dumb and Dumber 2’, ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (3D)’, ‘The Prince’, ‘Interstellar’ and ‘Alexander and The Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day’.
