Storytelling At FNCC On Mothers’ Day

The Franco Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC) is host a Storytelling hour on the occasion of Mother’s Day this Saturday in the FNCC library.

FNCC storytelling is centered on different themes and important dates on the celebratory calendar fitting them into the Namibian context. Mother’s Day is a modern celebration honouring one’s own mother, as well as motherhood, maternal bonds, and the influence of mothers in society. It is celebrated on various days in many parts of the world, most commonly in the months of March or May.

Parents are expected to take their children aged six to eleven years old to the storytelling hour, as storyteller, Sheena Schwartz, will be reading Mothers’ Day stories to the them. The reading is free and it will start at 10h00.
