Swapo kicks off campaigns for Otjiwarongo by-election

OTJIWARONGO: The Swapo-Party and DTA of Namibia over the weekend launched their official political campaigns for the Otjiwarongo by-election set for 09 July this year.

Swapo launched its campaign on Saturday at the DRC soccer field, while the DTA also launched its campaign at the same venue yesterday.

DTA’s Member of Parliament (MP), Vipuakuje Muharukua officially launched the political campaigns for his party candidate, Emeralda Esme !Aebes.

Muharukua said !Aebes has a clear understanding of the socio-economic needs of the Otjiwarongo Constituency residents, adding that she is prepared to take forward the constituency’s development programmes.

On her part, the 33-year-old !Aebes said her goal if voted into power as the Otjiwarongo Regional Constituency councillor will be to advocate for serviced land for all the town’s residents.

On Saturday, the Swapo-Party national leader assigned to the Otjozondjupa Region, Juliet Kavetuna also launched her party’s political campaigns for the Otjiwarongo by-election.
