Team Namibia leaves for Bulawayo for 2014 SCSA Zone Six Under-20 Youth Games

WINDHOEK: Team Namibia left for Bulawayo, Zimbabwe today for the 2014 Supreme Council for Sports in Africa (SCSA) Zone Six Under-20 Youth Games set for 04 to 14 December.

Namibia will compete in football (men and women), track and field, boxing, netball, swimming and tennis.

The team of 125 athletes consists of Paralympic athletes.

Team manager Victoria Katukula, who is a sports officer in the Ministry of Youth, National Service, Sports and Culture, told Nampa today the team is ready to compete.

She said the athletes were in a training camp for the past week, and they are ready even though they did not have enough time to prepare due to some players writing exams.

The athletes will be accompanied by coaches, administrators and medical personnel.
