Three died in car crash accident in Karibib-Okahandja

OTJIWARONGO: The three people who died in a car crash on the Karibib-Okahandja road yesterday have been identified.

The Renault sedan they were travelling in collided with a stationary truck at about 02h00, some 25 kilometres west of Okahandja.

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol)’s Otjozondjupa Regional Public Relations Officer, Warrant Officer Maureen Mbeha told Nampa upon enquiry yesterday that the deceased are Martha Kastoor, 80; Jonny Pietersen, 36; and the 50-year-old driver, Frederick Naruseb.

All three died on the spot.

Their close relatives were informed of their deaths.

Mbeha said MonosolyNuseb, 49, who was in the same sedan, sustained injuries on his right arm, and was admitted at the Okahandja State Hospital that same day.

Two occupants of the truck were unhurt.
