Three Newcomers for French Baabaas

The French Barbarians have announced three new additions to their squad to take on Namibia’s Welwitschias on Friday, following the withdrawal of three players earlier this week.

South African born flanker Gerhard Vosloo has pulled out and will be replaced Alexandre Bias from Montpellier Herault.

Another South African playing in France, scrum half Heini Adams has withdrawn and will be replaced by Jerome Fillol from Stadeacute Francais.

Former All Black winger Rene Ranger will also no longer be in action against Namibia, with his place being taken by Josua Tuisova from Stade Toulonnais.

No reasons were given for the trio’s withdrawal.

The match will be played Friday evening at 19h00 Namibian time at the Stade de Mayol, home of Toulon Rugby.

The French Barbarians squad is as follows:

Jean Charles Orioli, Jody Jenneker, Vincent Debaty, Florian Fresia, Yohan Montes, Luc Ducalcon, Rodrigo Capo Ortega, Robins Tchale Watchou, Julien Ledecedec, Alexandre Bias, Virgile Bruni, Matthew Clarklin, Julien Capdeillayre, Jerome Fillol, Benoit Paillaugue, Jules Plison, Jonathan Wisniewski, Henry Chavancy (captain), Fabrice Estebanez, Josua Tuisova, David Smith, James O Connor, Felix Le Bourhis.

The French Barbarians will be coached by the former French coach and current coach of Toulon, Bernard Laporte.
