Time Again for Diplomatic Spouses’ Charity Bazaar

Spouses of diplomats in Namibia present their annual international charity bazaar next Saturday at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC).

This is the fourth year that the Association of Diplomatic Spouses in Namibia (ADS) is hosting this event, taking place at the FNCC’s Gallery and Terrace ten O’clock in the morning (10H00) until three O’clock in the afternoon (15H00). Arts and crafts, typical souvenirs and culinary specialties from their respective countries will be on offer for sale at the colourful event of which the programme includes some cultural performances from the participating countries.

The bazaar’s theme will be The Prevention of Gender-Based Violence, one of the pressing social issue in the Namibian society currently. Proceeds from the event will go towards the combat of gender-based violence as well as towards numerous small and middle scale projects led by communities. The ADS is a non-profit charity organisation established in 1990. Everyone is welcome to attend as entrance is free.
