Tricky Volleyball Matches in Store

It will be a day for tricky trappings for the four teams involved in the Central Volleyball League at 1900 on Wednesday evening.

In the men’s match, Khomas Nampol VC (KNVC) will meet the very unpredictable 21 Brigade at Police College while in the women’s League, old rivalries will stir up when DTS meet Sporting Klub Windhoek (SKW) at DTS.

The encounter between KNVC and 21 Brigade could have handsome trappings for either side. KNVC seem to have the upper hand but they stumbled against UNAM 10 days ago and 21 Brigade will be hoping for the finest of their own form against a possible distracted KNVC.

21 Brigade will be relying on their best result this season when they stretched Namibia Defence Force (NDF) to a full five sets and hope to at least do the same to KNVC. KNVC on the other hand have to go for the full 3 set press to keep the wolves off their heels and remain top.

In the women’s encounter the atmosphere is tense as old blood turns and the old rivalries stir between DTS and SKW.

SKW seem to have the upper hand after their 3-0 drubbing of KNVC on Saturday, after KNVC had beaten DTS 3 -0 also on Saturday. But the volleyball merry go round keeps on spinning and last week, DTS beat UNAM 3-0 while UNAM went on to beat SKW 3-0 on Saturday.

The possibilities and permutations are now just too numerous to mention. Both teams are trying desperately not to be at the bottom of the Log and propping up the League.
