Ulenga Re-Elected Cod President

THE Congress of Democrats has re-elected Ben Ulenga as its president for the next five years.

He was retained at the party’s congress held in Ongwediva over the weekend.

Oshakati businessman Vaino Amukugo was elected the vice president, replacing Alfred Chilunda, while Jacky de Wee became the national chairperson taking over from Arnold Losper.

Clementine Masambo succeeded Tsudao Gurirab as the secretary general and will be deputised by Herbs Muunda who replaced Gretchen Boois.

The congress also elected Boas Mwapopi as the new treasurer and Chase Muhongo as his deputy. The two take over from Elma Dienda and Innoncetia Mokumela respectively.

Ulenga expressed disappointment with the manner some party members were behaving, even in public, and said the party lacked discipline.

“Discipline among leaders, members and party supporters is very important,” Ulenga said.
