Vietnam Rangers Win Oshana Biest Cup

Vietnam Rangers Football Club (FC) has qualified for the next round of the Biest Cup tournament, after beating Khuse FC 1-0 in the final on Saturday.

The two clubs faced each other in the final encounter of the cup’s regional tournament for the Oshana Region’s Namibia Football Association (NFA) second division league clubs.

Vietnam Rangers scored its winning goal in the first half of their encounter through the boot of striker Stefanus ‘Dux’ Nampila.

The club will be awarded N$10 000 as the regional champion, while Khuse FC will receive N$5 000 as the runners-up.

The final was held at the Oshakati Independence Stadium. All 12 soccer clubs that are affiliated to the second division football league of the NFA in the Oshana Region participated in the tournament that kicked off here last weekend.

The preliminary round of Biest Cup tournament for the clubs that are affiliated to the Northwest First Division football league of the NFA, also took place at the Oshakati Independence Stadium over the weekend.

The results of Bidets Namibia Cup first leg matches played in the Southern Stream First Division are as follows:

Kaizen FC 1 Windhoek United 2, Ramblers 0 Spartans 1, Young Brazilians 2 Try Again 0, Flamingoes 2 Bee Bob Brothers 1, Blue Boys 2 Spoilers 2 and Young African 2 Desert Rollers 0.
