Worn-out beds and mattresses replaced at Utuseb School

UTUSEB: A Windhoek based tour operator company, Pack Safari, on Tuesday donated 32 beds and mattresses to J.P Brandt Primary School.

The voluntary donation came at the right time to replace the worn-out beds and mattresses used by learners at J.P Brandt, a rural school in Utuseb village, south of Walvis Bay.

Utuseb is located some 40 kilometers along the Kuiseb River to the south of Walvis Bay.

The village is mostly inhabited by the Topnaars, a Nama community also known as the ‡Aonin. and#8232;School principal, Immanuel Keib, told Nampa in an interview at the school on Friday that Pack Safari visited their school early this year and noticed how old some beds and mattresses were.

The school has 257 learners attending Grades One to Seven.
